Nick Mason, a founding member of the progressive rock band Pink Floyd, has detailed five albums which he considers to be his all-time favourites.
Mason, who is the only Pink Floyd member to have been featured on all 15 of their studio albums, also remains the only constant member of the band since their formation way back in 1965.
Despite having sold over 250 million records worldwide, Mason has always been keen to point out his fellow colleagues have inspired his creative vision over the years and, in a podcast for Classic Album Sundays, the drummer named five records he considers all-time greats.
Kicking things off, and perhaps unsurprisingly, Mason opts for Bob Dylan who he describes as “still the greatest songwriter in rock music.” Following it up, Mason references Jimi Hendrix and does so by abiding by the drummers union. “Featuring not only the greatest guitar player but also one of my favourite and the most influential drummers Mitch Mitchell,” he said.
